SLICK BANGER
Known by true Hip Hop lovers and his peers as the HOOK MASTER for his knack for delivering ear-catching melodies and scores at will. A true 80s baby, Slick Banger was born in the landmark Harlem Hospital, beginning the wonder years of his life as a resident in the neighborhood that produced Hip Hop legends such as Camron and the Diplomats, Dougie Fresh, Big L, and Mase. Inspired by their great achievements and style, Slick Banger took the art of rhyming and Mic Control.
” I remember the glory years of Hip Hop in Harlem, the success of Mase, Dipset, Children of the Corn, even the Rob Base ear. I am fairly young, but I have always been a student of the game.”
As a student, his understanding grew from bar for bar, to battling, to full fledge song composition. Now a resident of the birthplace of Hip Hop, the BX boro, a proud representative Slick Banger has been doing his due diligence building his name and brand as a fierce competitior in NYC’s Underground scene. WIth countless flawless showings at the top hip hop spirited venues and showcasings city-wide, you would be hard pressed to find a naysayer when it comes to the topic of his talent.

WIth his buzz growing by the day, it is only a matter of time before Slick Banger receives his just due as highly mentionable recording artist, and possible major label deal. Kameelah "Meelah" Williams rumored to be joining R&B Divas: Atlanta
Kameelah "Meelah" Williams, former lead singer of R&B group 702 is rumored to be the next addition to R&B Divas: Atlanta. The former girlfriend of Musiq Soulchild (the two have a son together) has been working on a solo project while living in Atlanta which includes production by Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Stevie J . As of yet the rumors have not been confirmed by TVOne's production team, and Meelah's manager has not yet denied the plans. Stay Tuned! This seasons production recently wrapped up this weekend.

After speculation over his alleged victimization, as the subject of a robbery dispute where his jewelry was reportedly taken, 2 Chainz, can attest to that age old saying "when it rains it pours" After disspelling rumors, in what we all know is a move to secure his credibility, (Hey people get robbed all the time *Alpo shrug*) while attempting to board Terminal 5 at LAX, he was arrested for weed possession and felony narcotics possession of Promethazine.
NY TIMES INTRODUCES THE WORLD TO WHO MR WEST IS
Opening up in rare form for New York Times. Not a bad decision, or outlet for that matter. WIth the release date for his sixth studio album, Yeezus approaching fast, Kanye West's promo run for the week included a b-day celebration in grand fashion, as well as listening parties with A-List attendance (as if you would assume anything less) and the mother all, an interview. Remember if you will, " I dont do no press but I get the most press kid....." That mantra is still in tow, but you have to respect the icon's openness to join the rest of the marketing and publicity world. Normally one to seclude himself while continuously producing music that marks not only our time, but seemingly creates genre's at its own discretion. Pushing the envelope of a backpacker, he brought us emo-rap, on his way to intertwining fashion and music, claiming the throne in an irrefutable manner. Anti-machine, his discourse, conveniently finds ways to photo well with his lovely publcity machine girlfriend, Kim K.
In his interview with New York Times, Kanye touches on topis such as Steve Jobs' death and its opening up of a lane for his personal takeover of a corner of a market, which for some time has been dominated by the technology guru, as well as fatherhood, and his love life while spending three days with NYT columnist Jon Caramanica, on lock down in Malibu at his recording studio compound, putting finishing touches on his Yeezus album.

On why he always demands people to crown him with a role in history: "I think you got to make your case. Seventh grade, I wanted to be on the basketball team. I didn’t get on the team, so that summer I practiced. I was on the summer league. My team won the championship; I was the point guard. And then when I went for eighth grade, I practiced and I hit every free throw, every layup, and the next day I looked on this chart, and my name wasn’t on it. I asked the coach what’s up, and they were like, “You’re just not on it.” I was like, “But I hit every shot.” The next year — I was on the junior team when I was a freshman, that’s how good I was. But I wasn’t on my eighth-grade team, because some coach — some Grammy, some reviewer, some fashion person, some blah blah blah — they’re all the same as that coach. Where I didn’t feel that I had a position in eighth grade to scream and say, “Because I hit every one of my shots, I deserve to be on this team!” I’m letting it out on everybody who doesn’t want to give me my credit."
On his beef with the Grammys: "I don’t know if this is statistically right, but I’m assuming I have the most Grammys of anyone my age, but I haven’t won one against a white person. But the thing is, I don’t care about the Grammys; I just would like for the statistics to be more accurate."
On how his life struggles (like his mother dying in 2007) have affected his music: "Creative output, you know, is just pain. I’m going to be cliché for a minute and say that great art comes from pain. But also I’d say a bigger statement than that is: Great art comes from great artists. There’s a bunch of people that are hurt that still couldn’t have made the album that was super-polarizing and redefined the sound of radio."
On knowing he was going to be a star: "I knew when I wrote the line “light-skinned friend look like Michael Jackson” [from the song “Slow Jamz"] I was going to be a big star. At the time, they used to have the Virgin music [stores], and I would go there and just go up the escalator and say to myself, “I’m soaking in these last moments of anonymity.” I knew I was going to make it this far; I knew that this was going to happen."
On his beef with the Grammys: "I don’t know if this is statistically right, but I’m assuming I have the most Grammys of anyone my age, but I haven’t won one against a white person. But the thing is, I don’t care about the Grammys; I just would like for the statistics to be more accurate."
