THE PRIDE OF EAST HARLEM: WILL PORTER

"They always said a rose grew in Spanish Harlem; with the cracks that I have
emerged from, I am surely destine to branch out"
Born in the city that never sleeps, more commonly known as the Big Apple, the mecca, the birth of Hip Hop and with it a culture that has inspired so much of his being, WIll Porter is an ambitiously up and coming entertainer. A poet by craft, MC by choice the charismatic individual of Puerto Rican descent, was inspired by many a legend that walked the same El Barrio streets that he has called home for most of his life.
" I remember the love everyone in my neighborhood had for the likes of Tito Puente musically, and some one like the late Macho Camacho; that always made me feel like I could one day grab that kind of respect, if I could work hard enough and achieve my goals."
-Will Porter
Adopting a nickname which was given to him by many, WIll Gonzalez, which he was born as took to the art of Hip Hop at a young age. With influences such as KRS-One, Kool G Rap, Wu Tang Clan, and Big Pun he set his sights high on the totem pole of the genre which has inspired so many. Ever the music affficionado, his preference is not only limited to rap; you can easily catch heavy metal and classical selections on his playlist at any given time.

HIs lyrics are gritty, his portrayal is of real experiences. What he has felt, seen, and done. A product of the old ways where what you spoke is what you could prove, WIll Porter brings that approach to his song output. Preaching upliftment and positivity to all whom are in ear shot of his delivery, WIll Porter is a true voice for the people- his people. The underserved, the forgotten, yet hopeful. That hope- to rise above. Nevre forgetting whhere he has come from or those who have helped him in his plight, Will Porter lends his hand to each and every situation that he can. A true champion of empowerment in his neighborhood and abroad.
"With all the loses that I have experienced, for me today its about contribution My goal is to have an impact on the lives of all those that I come into contact with- musically, and socially"
- Will Porter
Vowing to honor the memory of all those who have been instrumental to his efforts, he brings their spirit with him into the booth and on stage. To date, Will Porter has had the opportunity to grace the stages of so many of New York City's most notable Hip Hop venues as both a poet and an MC. Have received accolodas from Street's Mos Hip Hop Conference and Magazine featuring as well as many online mentions, with more to come, at this point in the career of Will Porter its about the message, and distributing to it to a wider audience. With his new smash single " Get Ya Cameras Out" gaining a healthy buzz its looking like 2013 is gonna be promising for the Will Porter brand as well as his Team 110 Movement.

The B.A.M Music General K-Dezit

Kasseen Odell Silver also known as K-Dezit, is a born and raised native of the birthplace of Hip Hop- the boogie down Bronx, NYC. Kasseen has come a tremendous way from bottom to top.  A product of many trials and tribulation which have served to not only challenge but define the forward thinking, highly talented MC. A Man; one with a definitive vision, and clear goals, in life and in music.

A socially aware individual, K-Dezit is an activist by all accords. A proponent of positivity, he is an advocate for his community, and those whom he holds dear.  A representative of the B.A.M Musiq family, K-Dezit realized his talents and ambition in the entertainment industry, specifically Hip Hop at age nine. Beginning to pen his thoughts, as well share, he received great feedback and encouragement to chase his dream.

Performing at countless showcases, and tearing up any cypha platform that he could sink his teeth into, the buzz quickly grew.

As life and time would have it in the year 2001, careless behavior, K-Dezit was regretfully sentenced to incarceration. Using his nearly a decade of time spent, Dezit did his diligence to uplift himself, as well as others and put his mind to the plan
of enhancing his quality of living upon release.  Achieving radio play via the renowned 91.3 FM from confinement, he was reassured that his destiny was indeed success. His work with at-risk youth, as well as other ex-felons is well documented and the source of much acclaim from respected individuals within society.

Currrently enjoying freedom to the fullest, K-Dezit's focus in on greatness.

" I live by the 5 P's: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance"

A mantra which is evident in his actions and demeanor, K-Dezit is definitely one to watch.  With his B.A.M music team providing tremendous support, there is no ceiling.

His latest single "Burn It Up" is picking up steam, and opening up many doors for K-Dezit. Stay tuned as he etches his name into many a conversation regarding the next generation of Hip Hop artists
