Longevity of Love: Boris Kodjoe & Nicole Ari Parker- Kodjoe

Ever wondered about the institution of marriage and how to truly achieve maintenance, and consistency. Well in order to find those answers you would be better serve hearing it from true experts. In experts, I do not necessarily mean "accredited" ones whom provide therapy. Not @ all. The ones I speak of, provide example. Take Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker for instance. The couple grace this months edition of Rolling Out

What’s been the easiest and hardest part of parenting and marriage?

Nicole: Being a parent is the hardest job ever in life. Raising children uses every bit of your being — your heart, your time, your patience, your foresight, your intuition to protect them, and you have to use all of this while trying to figure out how to discipline them.
It takes its toll on a marriage as well. The time that should be spent with each other after the kids have gone to bed is usually spent face down, in your clothes, on the sofa with the remote control in your hand. It’s exhausting … but we’ve been married for seven years, and I think that the greatest challenge but also the greatest gift, is understanding that I’m way more capable than what I think I am. You have to work hard not to take your partner for granted, even when you are tired. We have a special needs child, so we also have to get up in the middle of the night and check on her. So, I’ve been pushed to the limits that I thought I had, and I’ve gone beyond those … that’s been the greatest gift throughout this journey with my husband.

Boris: As far as our marriage goes, again it’s all about priorities. We make sure that we put in some sexy time, and we go out on date nights and spend quality time together, because we were here first. Everything else is a reflection of that. If she and I are good, then everything else is good. So it’s very important that we put in the time to cherish each other.

Super-producer BANGLADESH calls Swizz Beats irrelevant

I myself have said it many times that I understand being P.C. (politically correct, that is) in terms of brand suicide etc; However there comes a time when in order to rise you have to be totally candid. Its similar to what Kanye's Mercy lyrics, "I dont do no press, but I get the most press B----" Spoken from a true dodger of interviews, and the sort. There is no substitute for your story if you are an entertainment industry member. If not for anything, the fans.  We want to know exactly what is being thought, felt, disliked and glorified by those we are enamored with- ARTISTS alike.

With that in mind, I'm sure we all can admit that we are in constant search of the next CONTROVERSY, or BEEF.  Well ladies and gentlemen I think I have found the perfect topic for us all to weigh in on:

BANGLADESH CALLS OUT SWIZZ BEATS AS BEING IRRELEVANT

Now in defense of the super-producer (when did this term originate) he was referencing music, not lifestyle. Taking into account all of Swizz Beats recent accomplishments: taking over @ Reebok Urban, designing cars, website ownership (which is still under investigation) one would be sadly mistaken in rendering his catalog, irrelevant.  BUT in the eyes of soundscan, and Billboard, just how relevant is Swizz Beats the monster, not the icon. Let's hear Bangladesh's side of the story:

***As told to XXL****
I don't think Swizz is relevant, I'm keeping it 100.  I think there's a difference between relevance and musical relevance. You married a lady that's poppin', you know it'll give you a lot of relevance, but you gotta make hits. Ain't no hits. Are you relevant for the craft you're doing or the life you live as far as the decisions you make?" (XXL Mag)
Defense Exhibit B:

Swizz produced "Summer On Smash" for Nas
Appearing at the 2012 ESPN ESPYS with God's Son
cameo in Rick Ross's New Orleans-shot "Hold Me Back" video to
Produced "Throw It Away" off Slaughterhouse's upcoming LP, Welcome to: Our House.

I wouldn't dare say lets open up the portfolio's to see what the financial reward has been for those notations. I also do not like to assume, and say for the record that his paper is longer than Bangladesh's at this point. Neither one of them has given me a cent. (I keep it a stack). BUT I will offer my opinion that Bangladesh is out of his mind for saying Swizz is not relevant, but I respect the gaul.  There is something to be paid mind to however, relevance is not always off set by money or is it?
